Different kind of sausage/kielbasa stuffers? What do the numbers mean?
My grandfather recently got on the kick to make his own sausage. My grandmother went out and bought a grinder, but now they want to get a stuffer. Apparently they can stuff the sausage with that machine but they need an attachment. The attachment needs to be 2 inches in diameter.
Does anyone know what kind of grinder that could be or where I can get the attachment for it?
I've already looked on ebay and amazon, the problem is not finding a site, it is knowing the size of the attachmment and the difference between the types they are telling me.

You do not need a 2 inch diameter attachment. You can use an attachment that is much smaller as the attachment will fill a casing that is much larger, and that is all controlled by hand at the time you stuff the casings.
Any grinder will do just fine. Don't buy the most expensive one you find, especially for the first one. Just buy a nice one and use it for a while, then he can decide what he wants, depending on how much sausage he will be making and what the ingredients will be.
I've had several, and still go back to my old hand crank. It's just fun to use.
